Vintage and retro styles are perfect for plus size figures! Below are two plus size pieces by Pin Up Girl Clothing.
Pin Up Girl Clothing is a great destination for those that are interested in retro/vintage style clothing. They have a great range of clothing and accessories that cater to this alternative style, but even better they are increasing their plus size range. If your size isn't available their is a wait list and you will be contacted once they become available.
Their are tops, skirts and dresses available in plus size on their site, but at the moment most only go to a 2x. They are expanding to size 4x, or a 20-22 for U.S. sizes in the near future, so keep a look out! Prices aren't cheap and keep in mind that sales items cannot be returned.
For a great top with a vintage feel check out their Lurex Top, that would look fantastic with a skirt or capris. For that knock out look to turn heads, The Rita Dress would be perfect to show off those curves and flatter at the same time. For a great swimsuit that offers coverage and looks, The Bettie Swimsuit is a great option.
In their lingerie section, there are some plus size options. A stand out piece is the Rago Body Briefer. While somewhat pricey, it might be something worth looking at if you want a more authentic feel to your retro garments. Their are also some overbust corsets and spanx type undergarments available in larger sizes.
They also have unique and adorable bags, shoes, hats, sunglasses and accessories. Their hair flowers are very high quality and worth the price. The orchids really feel and look real! They even carry retro inspired clocks and tablecloths if you enjoy decorating your house in retro style also.

I completely agree with you celebritie. It can also be very hard to find clothing in styles that you like, if your larger than, say, a size 14. It's quite sad that it's taking companies this long to even cater to and include larger sizes, but I'm glad there are some companies that including them now.

These are nice, I have always adored vintage and retro clothes and I just wanted to add that it is unfortunate that "average" size women are considered "plus size" in our society because so many women who are supposed to represent the standard of beauty are "under-weight" and thin as a rail.
